Besides their stunning wooden design, Saunas are a fantastic way of detoxifying the whole body through the perspiration process, helping to remove waste from the body and skin. This can improve overall health by enhancing blood circulation which can reduce joint stiffness and may relieve other conditions caused by poor circulation. Saunas are know for relieving stress and tension, as well as, rejuvenating skin cells leaving you feeling relaxed and looking youthful and refreshed.

The unique shape of our Cilindro Hut Sauna allows for even heat distribution due to its curved roof. This means that every seat is a prime location that offers abundant direct heat and fosters further connection as you all progress through the session at the same rate.
Ergonomic Back Support
We understand sitting upright in sweltering heat can quickly get uncomfortable. This led us to add ergonomic backrests to diversify the seating options within our Cilindro Hut Sauna. Enhanced Heater Technology
After years of research & development, we present to you the Cilindro Heater, an enhanced design which culminates in increased efficiency, heating capabilities, safety, and all important aesthetics.
Our Strongest Electric Heater
Our new Cilindro Sauna heaters are a gamechanger for traditional Sauna experiences. This cylinder shaped heater is 50% more powerful than our next best traditional heater, offering greater temperature control over each and every Sauna session.
80kg of Impurity Free Olivine Sauna Stones
One of the most enjoyable aspects of each Sauna session is pouring water over the hot rocks and feeling that revitalising steam envelop the space. This significantly increased stack of split-face Sauna stones provides more efficient steam output than regular rocks while their micropores guarantee a particularly soft steam is emitted to add a new level of comfort to the experience.
Enhanced Heat Retention
Our unique heater design and increased sauna stone capacity allows for superior heat retention, ensuring a consistent and powerful temperature throughout your sauna session. With more stones to store and release heat, you’ll enjoy a deeper, more intense experience that’s both comfortable and efficient.
Stainless Steel Exposure Grill
Our stainless steel heater grill elegantly houses a massive stack of Sauna stones while also offering maximum exposure, allowing heat to efficiently pass through and allow the Sauna to heat up quicker. Constructed from stainless steel, you can rest assured this grill will last a lifetime.
Easy to Use
Control when your heater turns on in advance to make sure it’s at the desired temperature – right when you want to use it. Easy and straightforward to use.
Why Choose Cedar Over Other Materials
We strictly use FSC Certified Rustic Cedar for our range of traditional Saunas due to their long list of appealing properties. Not only does our Cedar look better in your backyard, it carries a range of natural resistances and benefits that make your choice of timber an easy one.
A Natural Insulator
Cedar’s insulative properties significantly outweigh those of other materials which results in a Sauna that heats up faster and is more efficient in retaining heat. Spend less time topping up your wood burner and more time relaxing.
Which Wood Lasts Longer?
Cedar is naturally resistant to moisture, rot, and decay, making it perfect for saunas. Unlike other timbers that absorb moisture and warp, cedar maintains its integrity. Its natural oils also have antimicrobial properties, helping prevent decay and deter pests. These qualities make cedar the ideal choice for an outdoor sauna that will withstand the elements for years.
The Cedar Experience
The natural scent of warmed wood can be an enticing feature for Sauna users. Cedar offers a distinctive and pleasant aroma which many Sauna enthusiasts appreciate, while other materials such as pine often release a resin type odor when heated. Our cedar also contributes to natural air purification due to Cedar’s inherent antimicrobial properties.
Your Sauna Space Is a Safe Space
We’ve incorporated advanced, intelligent safety features to ensure every sauna session is not only revitalising, but worry-free. Relax and unwind knowing that your wellbeing is our top priority.
Safety Halo Guard
With safety at the forefront of every Alpine design, we have added a Heat Resistant timber safety guard at the top of the Cilindro Heater to guarantee safety when pouring water over your Sauna rocks. This timber guard is aesthetically pleasing while also intelligent and functional, ensuring you won’t be burn if you accidentally make contact with it.
Tempered Glass Door
With tempered glass, you can be sure that your door won’t shatter or break in high temperatures, or when you’re opening and closing it.

Don’t Just Take Our Word For It!
NZ’s leading athletes and sports specialists use Alpine Saunas to take their performance and recovery to the next level.
Jane Watson
Elite Netballer, Jane Watson, believes regular sauna use is a game changer when it comes to physical recovery as well as total relaxation.
“My training is frequent and can get very full-on. I really notice the difference if I have a particularly hard training day and skip my sauna session afterward, I’m definitely more fatigued the next day, says Watson.
Dave Wood
Dave Wood is a movement and breathing specialist who works with elite Kiwi athletes to enhance their recovery, endurance, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Through his training of top athletes, he’s found regular sauna use to improve cardiovascular health, improve brain function, and provide mental resilience as well as stress management.
Wood says after you begin sweating in the sauna, your cardiovascular system engages, and the heart rate rises to facilitate expanded blood vessels. “At this stage of your sauna session, the body begins to harvest all of the benefits of actual exercise except you are passively sitting in relaxation,” says Wood.

Frequently asked questions
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE HUT SAUNA
Traditional saunas use a stove to heat the air. As the temperature of the air increases around you, the temperature of your body increases as well due to absorption by heat convection. This causes your body to start the cooling process by transporting blood closer to the surface of the skin and opening pores through sweating.
Infrared saunas also heat the surrounding air but to a lesser degree. Instead, infrared saunas use infrared heaters to emit a specific wavelength of infrared light. Your skin absorbs this wavelength, causing your body’s temperature to rise. This elicits the same effects as a traditional sauna with less overall heat needed.
Yes, we provide comprehensive manuals alongside several videos to explain how to assemble the Sauna in a step-by-step basis. However, we do advise organising the help of a builder or expert handyman, as this Sauna assembly can be a big job for casual DIYers.
One of the main differences between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna is the heat involved while inside the unit.
Traditional dry saunas average temperature is 60 to 80 degrees Celsius, with some models reaching as high as 90 degrees Celsius.
Infrared saunas use a much milder temperature environment of between 45 to 65 degrees Celsius. However, because the heat of infrared saunas travels much deeper into the body, they can cause a more vigorous sweat at lower temperature.
Another difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna is the amount of power required to operate each unit.
Traditional saunas require more overall power to run. Our traditional saunas have either a 6kw heater (Barrel) or a 9kw heater (Hut). Our infrared saunas have either a 1.5kw heater (Oslo) or a 2.4kw heater (Copenhagen).
This means that a traditional sauna is more expensive to run than an infrared sauna. This can make a difference, depending on how often you use the unit.
