Detoxify your Body
A home Sauna is the ultimate extension of an already healthy and active lifestyle. After an intense workout, you’re likely to experience some muscle soreness, which is another area the sauna can work its magic. It’s believed that saunas enhance the muscle recovery process, by increasing the circulation of oxygen-rich blood to the muscles that are most in need.
If you worked up a sweat during your workout, you can keep this fantastic, detoxifying process going by finding a seat in the sauna straight after you’re done. However, make sure to take plenty of water in there with you, as you’ll be losing more liquid than you’re taking in.
Several studies have also suggested regular sauna use can be incredibly effective in aiding weight loss. This happens by increasing the production of human growth hormone, lowering cortisol levels, and reducing stress.

Perfect for Relaxation
Saunas are also one of the few places where you can achieve a cardiovascular workout simply by relaxing. Unwinding in the sauna will increase your heart rate to a level similar to what you would expect from moderate exercise.
On top of that, saunas are also believed to assist users to achieve restorative deep nights of sleep. The combination of the heat, silence, and solitude provides a highly relaxing environment to leave users feeling peaceful and calm.
Interestingly, it is actually the process of your body cooling down post-sauna that lulls users off to sleep. Your body’s temperature naturally cools when you sleep, so when you get out of the sauna and start cooling down it signals the body that it’s time to drift off to sleep.
