What should I consider before buying a Spa Pool?

2 minute read

Three people relaxing in an outdoor spa pool surrounded by lush green plants, holding drinks and enjoying the water.

We are getting asked that exact question a lot.

A spa hot tub suspended by straps is being lifted above trees with a scenic view of a bay and distant hills in the background.

So, here is the advice from our Alpine Spas™ Experts:

When considering buying a spa pool, there are several important factors to keep in mind:

---

1. User Requirements: Determine who will be using the spa to decide on the number of seats needed and the configuration that will best suit your needs.

At Alpine Spas we offer:

---

2. Primary Purpose: Consider whether you want the spa pool for social settings, therapeutic benefits such as hydrotherapy, or swimming. This will guide your choice on space and features such as hydrotherapy jets.

At Alpine Spas we offer:

Spas for Relaxation

Spas for Massage & Hydro Therapy

Spas for Swimming

---

3. Location: Choose a location that is easily accessible, solid, and free of grass to support the filled spa’s weight. Ensure that there is proper drainage and access for maintenance.

At Alpine Spas we offer:

Compat Spa Pools: 2-4 Seater

Family Spa Pools: 5-6 Seater

Large Spa Pools: 6-10 Seater

4. Costs and Financing: Understand both the initial purchase and potential installation costs. Consider financing options if needed.

---

5. Features and Accessibility: Explore different features like lighting, control systems, insulation, and water care systems. Also, make sure the spa’s maintenance access is convenient.

These considerations will help you make an informed decision when purchasing a spa pool.
