Promoter
This competition is conducted by Alpine Spas Ltd, 51 Princess Street, Riccarton, Christchurch, New
Zealand, 8041 ("Promoter").
Competition Period
The competition commences at 12:00 AM NZDT on Monday 21 September 2026 and closes at 11:59
NZDT on Monday 12 October 2026 ("Competition Period").
Eligibility
Entry is open to residents of New Zealand who are aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
Employees of the Promoter, any agencies directly associated with the competition, and their
immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
How to Enter
To enter, participants must during the Competition Period:
• Complete the entry form in full and submit all required details as requested.
• In 50 words or less, tell us about a moment you would want an Alpine Platinum Spa to be
part of. Not a feature, but more a piece of ordinary life eg family, connection, ritual, escape,
comfort, weather, recovery, quiet, fun, time together, time alone.
• Submit the entry in accordance with the instructions provided on the competition entry page
• Entries must be the entrant’s own original work. Entries that exceed 50 words, are
incomplete, illegible, unlawful, offensive, or otherwise do not comply with these Terms &
Conditions may be deemed invalid.
• Limit of one (1) entry per person unless otherwise stated.
Prize Details
There are one (1) prizes available.
• The prize consists of: Alpine Spas Platinum Series ‘Whistler’ Spa
• Total prize pool value: $16,995
• Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash, except where required by
law.
Judging and Winner Determination
This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner(s). All valid entries will be
judged by a panel appointed by the Promoter.
• Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, originality, and relevance to the competition
question.
• The entrant whose entry are judged to best satisfy the stated criteria will be selected as the
winner.
• Judging will take place at 51 Princess St, Christchurch, New Zealand on 16 October 2026 at
9am
• The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the
judging process or outcome.
Winner Notification
Winner will be notified via email or phone within 3 business days of judging.
Prize Claim
Prizes must be claimed within 7 days of notification. The Promoter will provide reasonable
instructions for claiming the prize.
Unclaimed Prize / Replacement Winner
If a winner cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, does not claim the prize within the stated
period, or otherwise fails to comply with these Terms & Conditions, the Promoter may award the
prize to the next highest-scoring valid entry based on the same judging criteria. Any replacement
judging will take place at 51 Princess St, Christchurch, New Zealand on 23 October 2026 at 9am
Intellectual Property and Publicity
By entering, each entrant confirms that their entry is their own original work and does not infringe
any third-party rights. The entrant retains ownership of their entry. The entrant grants the Promoter a
non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and publish the entry for the purposes of
administering and promoting this competition, including announcing the winner, subject to
applicable law. The Promoter may identify a winner by name and/or social media handle where
reasonably necessary for competition publicity, subject to the winner’s applicable privacy rights.
Winner Content & Filming
As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner agrees to reasonably cooperate with the Promoter
to film and photograph the delivery, installation and first use of the prize spa at the winner's
premises. The winner grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit,
reproduce and publish this content (including the winner's name, image and likeness) across the
Promoter's marketing, advertising and social media channels, for the purposes of promoting the
Promoter's products and this competition. Filming will be scheduled at a time reasonably
convenient to the winner. The winner may be asked to sign a separate content release prior to
filming.
General Conditions
• The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and entrant eligibility.
• The Promoter may disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, plagiarised, generated
or submitted in breach of these Terms & Conditions, or otherwise invalid.
• If the competition cannot be conducted as reasonably anticipated due to circumstances
beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may modify, suspend or cancel the
competition, subject to applicable law.
• A winner has rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and other similar legislation
which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by the Promoter. These rights include a
statutory guarantee that any services provided by the Promoter will be rendered with
reasonable skill and care and that any goods will be of acceptable quality. These Conditions
of Entry do not exclude, restrict or modify those statutory rights in any way. However, to the
extent it is permitted by law to do so, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties,
express or implied, other than as provided by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, regarding
the quality and suitability of the Prize awarded under these conditions of entry and will not
be responsible for breach of any such implied terms.
• The Promoter and its agencies and representatives associated with this Promotion,
including any Prize Provider, will not be liable for any loss (including but not limited to
indirect or consequential loss), damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained
(including without limitation to that caused by any person’s negligence) relating to this
Promotion or the awarding or taking of the Prizes except for any liability which cannot be
excluded by law (in which case liability is limited to the minimum amount.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for:
• Technical failures or interruptions that prevent or delay entry submission.
• Lost, late, misdirected or corrupted entries.
• Any loss or damage arising from participation in the competition or use of a prize, except to
the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy
By entering this competition, participants consent to the Promoter collecting and using personal
information for the purpose of administering the competition, contacting entrants and awarding
prizes. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy
(https://alpinespas.co.nz/privacy-policy). If entrants are also being asked to consent to marketing
communications, that consent should be obtained separately and must not be bundled into
competition entry unless legally appropriate.
